Sometimes it is hard to know where to start when trying to enter employment or education. Our team of advisors are here to support you and talk you through your options.
Each student journey is different but your pathway may look like:
- Drop in to Collyer’s Advice and Assessment Centre or email adulted@collyers.ac.uk
- You may be offered an informal interview aimed at indentifying strengths and a development plan
- Funding options will be explained where we can try and support your learning through government supporting schemes for those that are eligible
- You may then attend group workshops in work readiness skills or statutory qualifications - see the information for work readiness modules on the courses page
- Meet with an advisor who has experience in your line of work and who can help you build your CV and knows the types of jobs to apply for
- Following individually tailored job opportunity, advice on commencing employment or a work trial
- Feedback from managers, customers and staff to see where you can go next, which could include Apprenticeships
