Collyer's recently hosted the premier of a short film, created by Media and Film Studies students, to promote the family charity Home-Start.
The charity made contact with the college looking for students to make a film to promote their work in the Crawley and Horsham area. Produced last autumn, the film features local families and the specially trained Home-Start volunteers, who provide support for them through times of crisis.
The Home Start charity was delighted with the high quality of the film and the professionalism of the students. The DVD produced will now be used throughout the region to promote the work and profile of the charity.
Jonathan Nunns, Subject Leader for Media Studies at Collyer's was thrilled that students could help such a worthwhile charity: "We are delighted as a college to be able to work with organisations such as Home-Start. Our students can be very proud of the fantastic work they have done for this excellent cause."
