Alexander House Gym took on an apprentice in 2007. The apprentice worked full time and was given time off to attend her Personal Training and First Aid courses. The combination of learning theory and ensuring these National Standards were applied in the workplace led to Alexander House creating a staff team who were aware of the business needs. Since 2010 the qualified apprentice has managed the gym.
"The training support provided has given our employees, of all ages and educational backgrounds, great opportunities for development and personal growth and in turn have impacted in a positive way on our business results. Candidates whether attending college or training in the workplace are all assured of personal, committed attention of their allocated training advisor. This goes a long way to assisting us to motivate all learners to achieve success. The training and coaching supports our in-house training and greatly assists in meeting the challenges of the modern business world while giving structured learning opportunities to the learner with the added benefit of a recognized qualification for their future. I look forward to continuing to work with your support."
Peter Maskens, Group People & Development Manager, Alexander Hotels.
