Distance Learning Courses – coming soon!
We are excited to be launching a range of Distance Learning courses in October 2021.
These free courses are designed to help you brush up on existing skills or learn new ones.
If you are interested in joining one of the courses, please register your interest.
Our distance learning courses are designed to be completed in your own time, over a maximum of 16 weeks. You will work your way through the online course materials, supported by an assessor. There will be various start dates throughout the year.
Level 2 Certificate in Awareness of Mental Health Problems
This course will help you gain knowledge of mental health problems including stress, anxiety, depression, dementia, eating disorders, phobias and schizophrenia. You’ll learns about symptoms and management and also gain an understanding of relevant legislation and guidance.
Level 2 Certificate in Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care
This course gives an overview of the sector. You will learn about person-centred care, safe working practices, safeguarding and duty of care. You’ll also improve your knowledge of equality and diversity.
Level 2 Certificate in Customer Service
The course will help you to improve your customer service skills. You’ll learn about how to understand and meet customers’ needs, how to successfully promote products and services and how to use feedback to improve your performance.
Level 2 Certificate in Information Advice or Guidance
This course is designed to help with communication techniques, group interactions and interpersonal skills. It also covers how to store and retrieve information in a way that complies with legal requirements.
Level 2 Certificate in Principles of Business Administration
This course helps with the skills needed to work in a business admin role in different environments. It includes knowledge on how to carry out administrative functions such as preparing business documents and how to manage business systems such as diaries and finance systems.
You must be 19+ and live in England. You will need to attend College for an induction to the course so must live locally enough to be able to do this.
These courses are free to eligible learners. There is a £125 deposit payable at the point of booking. This is returnable after completion of the course.
