Maths Functional Skills – Entry Level

About the course
This course helps to develop effective practical mathematics skills which will be useful in work and life.
Subjects covered include:
Addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
Recognising simple fractions and decimals
Reading and recording time
Using common measures
Identifying common shapes
Sorting and classifying objects
Handling information and data
You should expect to complete 1 hour of homework per week in addition to class attendance and exam revision.
Learners must take an initial assessment followed by a full diagnostic to establish that they are ready to study at this level.
There is a controlled internal assessment for each level.
Please bring a notebook, pen and calculator
Learners who achieve this qualification can progress on to Functional Skills in Maths at Level 1.
