This Level 3 qualification is aimed at experienced bookkeepers. Modules covered are:

Advanced Bookkeeping
Final Accounts Preparation
Indirect Tax

AAT recommend 5 hours of homework per week in addition to class attendance and exam revision.

Entry requirements

Learners should have passed the AAT Level 2 Foundation Certificate in Bookkeeping or Accounting or have significant accounts/bookkeeping experience and show as being ready for Level 3 on the AAT Skills Check.
A good standard of written and spoken English and Maths plus basic IT skills are required.
Students must become AAT Student Members before the course starts (fees apply).

Assessment

Assessment is via computer-based assessments.

Equipment

You will need a non-programmable calculator and note-taking equipment.  Textbooks and question banks are provided for the modules.

Progression

You can progress on to the AAT Level 3 Advanced Diploma in Accounting.

Induction

Students must attend a College induction on Thursday 5th September 6-8pm.

Fees

Students aged 19-23 years who are studying for their first Level 3 qualification may qualify for a government subsidy meaning that the course is fully funded.

Advanced Learning Loans are available for students aged 19+. These are repayable when you finish your course and earn more than £25,000 per annum.
