We are looking for a suitably skilled and experienced person to work within our busy Student Services and Safeguarding Teams. Student Services support a wide range of pastoral functions at the college, both administratively and through direct interaction with students, parents and staff. Their work covers student enquiries, absence reporting, wellbeing triage, safeguarding (1-1 support and record-keeping), liaison with parents and external services, student financial support, student progression and administrative support for the disciplinary process. This post will provide support in managing safeguarding and wellbeing referrals liaising with external agencies as appropriate. Experience of working with young people in a role involving safeguarding is essential.
The pattern of working hours will be agreed with the successful candidate and will be spread over at least 4 days per week. Part of the role is to provide out of hours emergency contact for safeguarding matters. We do not envisage that this will occur on a regular basis.

Salary: Point 11 on the Support Staff pay scale which is currently £22,989 for a full time post which equates to £11,817 prorated for 23 hours pw term time only (0.514fte 43 weeks paid per year). Out of hours emergency calls will be paid in addition on a claims basis.
