Digital Production, Design and Development T Level (Pearson) The Digital T Level is a new full time level 3 technical course, equivalent to three A Levels. Leading digital employers have helped to develop the qualification to equip young people with the skills that the industry needs. A key feature of the course is a mandatory industry placement of at least 45 days. As well as the industry placement, T Level study programmes comprise a ‘core’ set of underpinning knowledge, concepts and skills, tailored for their chosen industry, and occupation and specialist training covering occupational or industry-specific skills. Digital Production, Design and Development is suitable for students who plan a career in software development and will develop the following specialist skills: • Analyse a problem to define requirements and acceptance criteria aligned to user needs • Design, implement and test software • Change, maintain and support software • Create solutions in a social and collaborative environment • Discover, evaluate and apply reliable sources of knowledge • Apply ethical principles and manage risks in line with legal and regulatory requirements when developing software Most T Level students will progress, from college, straight to work or onto a higher level or degree apprenticeship. However, the qualification does accrue UCAS points and will allow progression to university. Single Double Triple Specific entry requirements Grade 4 in English Language + Grade 4 in Maths Early Years Education and Childcare T Level (NCFE CACHE) The Education and Childcare T Level is a full-time level 3 technical course. The course provides UCAS points to the value of 3 A Levels and gives an excellent direct progression route to further study in higher education or degree level apprenticeship. Written with the involvement of early years sector employers, it also leads to licence to practice as an Early Years Educator (E.Y.E.) successfully giving students the skills & qualification & experience required for employment in as a Level 3 practitioner in a range of settings. Students will gain a ‘core’ set of underpinning knowledge, concepts and skills relevant to education and care from birth to nineteen years of age. They will also study ‘occupational specialist’ content related to early years from birth to 5 years. A mandatory 750 hrs in industry training is needed to achieve the qualification. This will be undertaken two days a week in a range of settings, provided by the college, working with children aged six months to five years. Students will develop vocational competency to engage children, work with others to plan and lead activities to meet children’s needs.
