About the course
Students will be exposed to a wide variety of techniques and artists to expand their horizons and encourage creative experimentation. We will work in a range of different media, for example:
• Drawing – pastel, charcoal, pen and ink
• Painting – acrylics and watercolours
• Printmaking – mono print and lino print
We will also be looking at the 7 elements of art: the stylistic features that are included within an art piece to help the artist communicate. The seven most common elements are line, shape, texture, form, space, colour and value.
Techniques and projects change each year and sessions focus on a theme, experimenting to develop new ideas for future projects.

Learners will attend weekly lessons in college. Materials are included in the course fees.
