News Collyer’s Culture Day “Incredible” 01.12.2025

Collyer’s recently celebrated Culture Day, organised by members of the RCU (Collyer’s student union) and RCU Co-President, Zara Chikezie.

Students at the leading sixth form college enjoyed activities including high energy games, booming music, a flag parade, and a talent show to a packed audience in the Collyer’s Cafe.

Zara Chikezie was delighted: “We promised we’d go bigger and better for the Autumn term. Collyer’s students wanted a Culture Day to remember, and the RCU delivered the best possible experience!”

The event was attended by a multitude of students and staff from various cultures, many of whom were beautifully dressed in clothing representing their nations.

Collyer’s Vice Principal (Pastoral) Andrea John said: “An incredible day massively enjoyed by the Collyer’s community!”

After the talent show, the students and staff were then invited to sample a wide selection of cultural food and drink from all over the world in the Cafe Annexe. A record number of students and staff participated.

Collyer’s Deputy Principal Steve Martell said: “Our busiest ever Culture Day! Colossal thanks to our presenters, talent show performers and all of the students and staff who made today’s wonderfully celebratory experience possible.”
