Young documentary film maker Connor Carruthers recently screened an exclusive showing of his hard-hitting documentary about Minster Marshes, ‘The Planet We Call Home’ to support Green Week at Collyer’s.

Dr Ian Carr, Collyer’s Sustainability Co-ordinator, and Deputy Director of the Science Faculty, explained: “Connor, who is in his first year at Collyer’s studying Geology, Chemistry and Biology A-levels, wrote, narrated, and starred in the documentary.

“The film includes footage of the amazing bird and mammal life at Minster Marshes in Kent, outlines the threat posed by an electricity converter station and brings to the fore the positive action being taken to try and protect the marshes by stakeholders including the local warden and MP.”
