News Men’s Rugby Get Title Over The Line! 12.05.2026

Collyer’s men’s rugby team have secured the AOC (Association of College’s) South East North title.

The team have enjoyed a fantastic season, beating top sides including Esher College, Godalming College, Henley College and the Sixth Form Farnborough.

John Burroughs, Head of the Collyer’s Sports Academy said: “Our men’s rugby team have performed superbly across the south east region. I’m so pleased they got over the line and won some silverware. They richly deserve it!”

Collyer’s Coach, Patrick Viol said:: “The squad have worked hard all season and I’ve been really proud of the team and the leadership group.

“Winning the league represents massive progress and the squad should be proud of their achievements”.

Collyer’s Deputy Principal Steve Martell was delighted: “Winning this college title is a huge achievement for Collyer’s rugby, and Collyer’s sport. Patrick is a gifted coach and both he and these talented players deserve all the plaudits. They are a class act.”
