News New Principal for Collyer’s 17.06.2020

Collyer’s is delighted to announce that Dan Lodge will be the new Principal from 1st September, taking over from the current Principal Sally Bromley. Dan joined Collyer’s three years ago in a senior leadership staff and student support role and has since been leading on all quality and curriculum matters. Dan has a broad range of experience in education since becoming a teacher some 16 years ago following an early career in business. Having made Horsham his family home, he is also familiar with the local educational landscape and the wider community.  As such, we have every confidence that Dan has the skills, experience and wholehearted commitment to our students to lead Collyer’s to further outstanding success.

Dan Lodge, Principal Designate, said: “I am delighted to be taking over as Principal of Collyer’s in September. It is an incredible privilege to have the opportunity to lead such an outstanding institution with such fantastic students and staff. I look forward to the new challenges and am confident our college has a very bright future as we develop towards our 500th anniversary of foundation.”

Sally Bromley, the current Principal, added: “I shall be very sad to leave my role as Principal at Collyer’s, a role which has been the highlight of a long career but I am delighted that Dan will be taking over as Principal in September. I’ve worked closely with Dan in his role as Vice Principal in charge of the curriculum and he has been instrumental in the college achieving our best set of A Level and BTEC results ever in 2019. He has been a fantastic colleague totally focused on securing an outstanding educational experience for students while supporting the wellbeing of both students and staff. I can embrace retirement confident in the knowledge that Dan will lead the college to even greater success in the next decade and beyond.”
