OCA NEWS OCA President’s Blog July 2022 18.07.2022
After a very successful Founder’s Day event in May, a trip to Mercers’ Hall, and an OCA presence at the unveiling of the new Shelley memorial plaque in July (more details of each to follow in the summer newsletter), thoughts are now turning to our autumn trip to Christ’s Hospital (some places still available) and of course to our centenary dinner on 19 November 2022.
This year’s dinner will be held in the College’s new café area and there will be an opportunity before the dinner for OCs to tour some of the newer parts of the college’s estate. Meanwhile, as part of our curation and celebration of our 100 years of OCA heritage, Collyer’s photographer Tilly Stone has kindly photographed the two Presidents’ Boards that are displayed on the upper storey of the memorial hall. These are now up to date as of 2022 (our thanks to Derek Sturt for kindly organising the latest update) and are displayed with this blog.
