News ‘Say It With Snacks’ Goes Down Well With Students 19.04.2026
Collyer’s Student Cafe recently hosted Sussex Green Living and Vegan Fest Horsham on a visit to Collyer’s as part of Green Week, in a session called ‘Say it with Snacks!”.
Dr Ian Carr, Collyer’s Sustainability Co-ordinator, and Deputy Director of the Science Faculty, explained: “Sussex Green Living were asking students to take part in a survey to gauge their opinions on the important environmental issues of the day, and try to get more young people’s voices heard to inform their future actions. Students were rewarded for taking part by being given free snacks, including a range of treats brought along by Vegan Fest Horsham, including delicious vegan chocolate, cheese and sausages.”
The event was well received by the Collyer’s community and proved enormously successful, attracting a huge amount of interest with around a hundred students taking part in the online survey.
Dr Carr added: “Huge thanks to Carrie Cort and Morag Warrack (Sussex Green Living) and Helen Crabb, Graeme Crabb, and Michelle Davis (Vegan Fest Horsham) for taking time out to speak to our students and support Green Week here at Collyer’s.”
