Range of contracts available between 3 and 5 days per week, 0.6fte to full time, with some flexibility around working pattern.

We are looking for committed and enthusiastic Personal Development Tutors to join a dedicated pastoral team in our successful and inclusive sixth form college. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to our students’ experience, by ensuring they are well supported and guided to achieve their full potential throughout their time at college.

Responsibility for up to 10 tutor groups will be included within the role. Through the delivery of high-quality tutor group sessions and 1:1s you will promote the development of effective studentship to support students’ achievement, enabling them to progress successfully to the next stage of their lives. Monitoring attendance and ensuring the welfare and wellbeing of your tutees will be a high priority, and you will work closely with teachers, Heads of House and Student Services to achieve this. Additionally, PDTs facilitate of a wide range of enrichment activities and provide intervention workshops for identified students to support motivation, time management and effective study behaviour.

It is anticipated that the hours will be spread across at least 3 and up to 5 days with some flexibility around timing. In addition, the role will involve some evening attendance for college events across the academic year.

Salary: On the SFCA salary scale UQT1 (£27,224) – NSP3 (£35,306) dependent on qualifications and experience pro-rated for part time hours.
