Vacancies Student Services Officer

Term-time only (43.6 weeks paid per year)
22 – 37 hours 3-5 days per week

We are looking for a suitably skilled and experienced person to work within our busy Student Services and Safeguarding Teams. Student Services Officers support a wide range of pastoral functions at the college, both administratively and through direct interaction with students, parents and staff. Their work covers student enquiries, absence reporting, wellbeing triage, safeguarding (1-1 support and record-keeping), liaison with parents and external services, student progression and administrative support for the disciplinary process. This particular post has a key focus on wellbeing and safeguarding and so experience of working with young people is essential. Ideally the pattern of work for 22 hours would be 3 days per week including Friday, 8.30am – 4.30pm for 2 days and 8.30am -4.00pm on Friday.  There may be the opportunity to increase the contracted hours to 4 or 5 days per week term time only, if this is of interest to the right candidate.

Salary: Point 6 rising to Point 7 on the Support Staff Pay Scale. The annual salary for a full time post in this range is £25,558 – £25,951.   This equates to £12,741pa rising to £12,937pa prorated for 22 hours pw term time only (0.4985fte).  For 37 hours pw term time only (0.838fte), this equates to £21,429pa rising to £21,758pa.
