News Year Ends On A High Note 06.06.2025
Collyer’s Music Practitioners students ended the year on a high note by performing their final live performances of the year.
Students performed lunch time gigs over two days for fellow students and staff, then again in the evening for friends and family.
Performance Pathway students interpreted the end of year theme themselves, chose their performance style, band image and songs accordingly. First year Technology Pathway students set up the complex PA system, instruments, amplifiers, and digital mixing desk with bespoke sound engineering for each band.
Head of Music Dan Page said: ‘What a great way to end the year, doing what the students enjoy most and what our course is centred on – live music performance. I can’t think of a better way to celebrate our leaving second years. It was also great preparation for our first-year students as they move into their final year of the course. It’s always a joy to be able to put on live events for students, friends, and family.”
Vice Principal (Curriculum) Rob Hussey said: “Colossal thanks to Dan, his technical team, and these wonderfully talented musicians for staging these fantastic, celebratory live performances.”
